Madison in Central New York

Well known for its quaint villages, cozy country inns, bed and breakfasts and a rural community full of heritage, the Madison County area offers a taste of everything CNY - from high-end boutiques and timeless antique shops to local farmers markets and gourmet cuisine paired with award-winning spirits from local breweries and vineyards. Visitors are encouraged to explore the wonders of the area, from boating along the current Erie Canal to learning about the very first boats to travel it; riding through the scenic backwoods on horseback; strolling through pumpkin patches, apple orchards and corn mazes; sampling fresh produce and home baked goods at farmers' markets; oohing and ahhing at live theatrical performances and concerts; and the list goes on. Madison is brimming with natural beauty throughout its lush parks, trails and lakeside terrain, all complemented by its beautifully antiquated architecture and charming villages.
