For 4,356 scenic acres perfect for bird watching and cross-country skiing, visit Pharsalia Wildlife Management Area in Chenango County. Another venue for wintry recreation is Bowman Lake State Park with 660 acres including trails for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.

Try tobogganing or snowshoeing at Greenwood Park in Greater Binghamton and melt the icicles from the tip of your nose between trails in their warming room.
